We buy most student and intermediate instruments — Yamaha, Mendini, Cecilio, Prelude, etc. The offers are smaller (lower resale market) but we still make them. High-end student instruments in good condition hold value best.
They help — significantly. A guitar with the original hard case, tremolo arm, certificates, and any included accessories is worth more than a bare guitar. We still buy instruments without cases, but the offer reflects it.
Functional, with no major damage. Frets don't need to be perfect, but the neck should be straight, electronics should work, valves/springs should function, and there shouldn't be cracks, broken headstocks, or major structural issues. Cosmetic wear is fine; functional problems reduce the offer.
