Sell or pawn your musical instrument today. Guitars, violins, brass, woodwind, amplifiers — fair valuations, same-day cash, no middleman.
Family-run Burwood pawnbroker · 4.9★ from 130+ Google reviews · Established 1995
We've been buying and lending against musical instruments for decades. The market is honest — a 1978 Stratocaster is worth what a 1978 Stratocaster is worth, and a beginner Yamaha is worth what a beginner Yamaha is worth. We know the difference, we know the resale market, and we pay a fair share. If you want cash today, sell it. If you want the instrument back later, pawn it. Either way, walk in, get the number, decide on the spot.
We assess musical instruments in front of you, weigh and test where it matters, and price against live market rates. No appointment, no waiting, no credit checks.

Four steps. That's it.

Players know instruments. We've been buying and selling for 30+ years — we know the difference between a player-grade Strat and a collectible vintage one, and we price accordingly.
Fair second-hand market pricing. We track what instruments are actually selling for on the used market. Your offer reflects today's reality, not the new-retail price.
Pawn or sell. We lend against instruments as well as buy them. If you want the guitar back, pawn it. If you're done with it, sell outright. Same valuation, same cash offer.
We accept what other places don't. We lend against vintage and collectible pieces, student instruments, and gear in the middle of the market. Most pawn shops only want new, sealed-box items — we look at every piece.
Electric and acoustic guitars (Fender, Gibson, Martin, Taylor, PRS, Gretsch, Epiphone), basses, violins, violas, cellos (including student and intermediate), brass (trumpets, trombones, French horns, tubas), woodwind (saxophones, clarinets, flutes), and amplifiers (Fender, Marshall, Vox, Mesa Boogie, Orange).
We buy most student and intermediate instruments — Yamaha, Mendini, Cecilio, Prelude, etc. The offers are smaller (lower resale market) but we still make them. High-end student instruments in good condition hold value best.
They help — significantly. A guitar with the original hard case, tremolo arm, certificates, and any included accessories is worth more than a bare guitar. We still buy instruments without cases, but the offer reflects it.
Functional, with no major damage. Frets don't need to be perfect, but the neck should be straight, electronics should work, valves/springs should function, and there shouldn't be cracks, broken headstocks, or major structural issues. Cosmetic wear is fine; functional problems reduce the offer.
Yes — and we often pay more for the right vintage pieces. Pre-1980s Fender and Gibson, vintage Martin acoustics, vintage Selmer saxophones, pre-war violins — these are collectible. Bring it in, we'll tell you what it is and what it's worth.
Yes. We lend against quality instruments using the same valuation process. If you want the guitar back after a set term, a pawn loan is the way. If you're done with it, sell it outright for cash today.
