We authenticate in store before we make an offer — stitching, hardware, date codes, serial numbers, leather quality, lining, dust bag, original receipts and authenticity cards. If a bag fails authentication, we won't touch it. If it passes, you get a real offer.
It depends on the brand and the damage. Light wear (corner scuffs, patina on leather, minor hardware tarnish) is normal and doesn't usually affect value. Heavy damage (rips, broken zips, missing hardware, water damage) reduces the offer. Bring it in and we'll tell you straight.
They help — significantly. A bag with original box, dust bag, receipt, and authenticity card commands a higher price than one without. But we still buy bags without paperwork as long as they authenticate. The offer just reflects the missing provenance.
It depends on the brand, model, condition, age, and current resale market. Hermès Birkins and Kellys, Chanel Classic Flaps, and limited-edition pieces hold value best. We price against current resale comparables and pay a fair share. Walk in with the bag and we'll quote on the spot.
