What to expect when you visit a pawnbroker for the first time
If you have never been to a pawnbroker before, it can feel a bit unfamiliar. Here is what to expect so there are no surprises.
Step 1: Walk in
No appointment needed. Bring your item and a valid photo ID (driver licence or passport). That is it.
Step 2: We have a look
We will examine your item and give you a fair valuation. For gold, we test purity and weigh it. For watches and jewellery, we check brand, condition, and market value. The whole thing takes about 10 to 15 minutes.
Step 3: We make an offer
You can sell outright or take a pawn loan. With a loan, your item stays with us as security and you get cash. When you pay back the loan plus interest, you get your item back.
Step 4: You decide
There is no pressure. If you do not like the price, take your item home. No hard feelings, no sales tactics, no one chasing you afterwards.
What about privacy?
Everything is confidential. We do not share your information. We have been doing this for 31+ years and we treat every customer with respect.
Common concerns
"Will I be judged?" No. Everyone has different reasons for visiting. We do not ask why you need cash. We just help.
"Is it safe?" Yes. We are licensed and insured. Your items are stored securely.
"How much will I get?" It depends on the item. Gold is based on weight and purity. Other items depend on brand, condition, and demand. The only way to know is to bring it in.
